2008 ASAA/First National Bank World Language Declamation Contest

Dear Colleagues:

We look forward to presenting the 2008 ASAA/First National Bank State World Language Declamation Contest in Anchorage at East High School on Saturday, February 23, 2008. Poetry recitation, impromptu speaking, improvisational dialogues and culture trivia contests will be offered.

In addition to submitting registration and a master eligibility list, you will need to provide an alphabetized list of ALL student participants, the language(s) they are taking and teacher name.

The registration deadline will be Tuesday, February 12th.  
Descriptions of each category, topics and registration forms will be all be available online at the ASAA website:  

(1) go to www.asaa.org
(2) click on WORLD LANGUAGE on the left of the home page
(3) print off items and forms as needed
(4) complete and fax or mail the registration forms to ASAA 

If you have difficulties, please contact John, Chris or Angie for assistance. If you are unable to reach us directly, please leave a message and we will return your call. Email is also a great way to get in touch with us.

All poetry will be the same as for the 2007 contest. Let us know if you need additional copies.

As always, your participation in the contest is greatly appreciated. We will again be requesting teacher assistance with monitoring and registration.
